Tracy Grimshaw to cover Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral live from outside Buckingham Palace at 7 pm tonight


Tracy Grimshaw will host a very special edition of A Current Affair live from Buckingham Palace at 7pm tonight (AEST) during this historic week as London prepares for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Tracy will be interviewing royal expert and biographer Ingrid Seward live from the scene, just hours before the Queen’s coffin moves from the palace to Westminster Hall.

Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, is one of the world’s most respected royal commentators, having penned more than 15 books on the subject.

A Current Affair reporter Dan Nolan also be on the ground in London, amongst the crowds waiting to mourn the Queen.

Members of the public have already been lining up for more than a day, eager for a chance to pay their respects to the late monarch when she lies in state before her funeral next Monday.

We’ll also be looking at the role of Camilla, the Queen Consort, and speaking to a former member of the security detail for Elizabeth II.

Tracy will later be hosting a special presentation of 9News: Queen Elizabeth II, The Final Journey at 9.40pm on Channel 9, 9GEM and 9Now, as King Charles III leads the procession behind the Gun Carriage carrying the Queen’s coffin to Westminster Hall, where the late monarch will then lie in state.
