This is Modi’s Beti Bachao: NSUI Punjab president on Hathras gangrape

Castigating PM Modi, NSUI Punjab President Akshay Sharma on Thursday said the abject cruelty and inhumane torture of gangrape and death of Hathras girl has shamed the whole country.
This is Modi’s Beti Bachao, Akshay said referring to utter plight of the deceased girl and her family in seeking justice from Yogi regime. Yogi must be ashamed of what has happened to the young girl and he should be removed immediately for failing to protect the girl’s life and dignity.
During a candle light march led by AICC General Secretary In-charge Punjab and former CM Uttrankhand Harish Rawat, along with MP Gurjit Singh Aujla, Cabinet Minister Om Parkash Soni and Youth leader Vikas Soni, to protest against the torture meted out to the girl’s family, Akshay said it was equally horrendous to see the secrecy and urgency of UP Police in cremating the girl’s dead body, even without her parents’ approval. This is shameful and must be investigated into to ensure justice for the girl, he added.
Modi must answer for his failures to protect girls and women in the country, he said amidst loud sloganeering of Shame Modi, Shame Yogi.
Demanding a quick trail of the accused, Akshay demanded death sentence for them to set an example in society. Likewise, the role of UP Police must be investigated into which has consistently chipped away at its facade of being a professional force anymore.
The notorious record of extra judicial killings, invoking of stringent NSA in cases of cow slaughter is for everyone to see, he said.
