‘The Punjab Review’ book for PCS aspirants out

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) NRI Affairs Amardeep Singh Rai on Monday, released a book on current affairs of Punjab “The Punjab Review” written by Munish Jindal.

ADGP Rai appreciated the writer’s efforts to help aspiring candidates attempting Punjab Civil Services (PCS) and other competitive examinations of Punjab in their studies through his books. ADGP Rai has also written the foreword for the book.

Divulging details about the book, Jindal said that thousands of students across Punjab appear in Punjab PCS and other competitive exams but many fail to achieve their goal due of lack of thorough knowledge of the subject or lack of proper guidance as per the need of the examination. “As many cannot even afford coaching. Thus, the books are cheapest and best source of preparation, if written as per demands of the exam. The Punjab Review is an attempt keeping in mind this view,” he said.

He said that the conventional part of Punjab like its history and culture, administrative structure, has been very well covered in his previous book. He said that now a days, questions from current affairs of Punjab are being asked in almost every competitive exams of Punjab, be it PCS or Naib Tehsildar on any other examination.

Jindal said that in this he tried to cover the last one-year current affairs of Punjab besides highlighting Budget of Punjab, Economic Survey of Punjab and initiatives taken by the Punjab Government in various sectors in over last two years.

He said that the book also have a chapter focused on Punjabi Language and Political Theories while at the end of the book, previous year papers and model test papers are given, which would help students to make an assessment for their preparation of exams.
