A teenager has been left with facial injuries after he was attacked by a group of men in Melbourne’s west earlier this week.
The 14-year-old was allegedly assaulted at a shopping centre in Caroline Springs at 6pm on Tuesday.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
His mother said the boy was left traumatised by the attack.
“This was disgusting,” she said.
“I want these people held accountable, this was violent, this was vicious.
“They threw him around like he was a rag doll and like he was a soccer ball.”
Police say the boy suffered minor injuries.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing,” a police spokesperson said.
