Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram steered SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) with their half-centuries to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Tripathi (71 off 37) and Markram (68 not out) added 94 runs for the third wicket as SRH chased down the total with 13 balls to spare.
Earlier, Nitish Rana scored a fine 54 while Andre Russell hammered an unbeaten 49 as KKR managed to post a total of 175 for eight. Rana and Russell stitched an important partnership as KKR managed to recover from a top-order collpase.
For SRH, T Natarajan took three wickets while Umran Malik also picked two wickets. Earlier, SRH won the toss and elected to bowl. At the toss, SRH captain Kane Williamson confimed that Jagadeesha Suchith has replaced the injured Washington Sundar in their playing XI. KKR, on the other hand, make three changes with Aaron Finch, Aman Khan, Sheldon Jackson replacing Sam Billings, Ajinkya Rahane and Rasikh Salam.
