Sidhu Moosewala cremated at own land in native village Musa

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala (27) was cremated at his native Moosa village in Mansa district on Tuesday. His mother combed his hair for the last time while his father tied the turban.

During cremation, the family of Sidhu Moosewala got emotional on seeing thousands of fans. His father Balkour Singh, seeing love and affection from fans of Sidhu Moosewala, removed his turban and bowed in front of the huge crowd gathered to attend the funeral.

His body was brought from civil hospital at around 8.15 am in the morning and was kept at his house in the village where people in large numbers especially youth reached to pay tributes.

Youth carrying photographs of Sidhu Moosewala raised slogans ‘Sidhu Moosewala amar rahe”(Long Live Sidhu Moosewala). Many were seen wearing t-shirts with Moosewala photo on it. Even his girl fans in large number too came to attend the cremation.

The family members decorated Sidhu Moosewala’s famous tractor 5911 with his photograph, on which his body was taken to his fields, where his last rites were performed by his father.

Sidhu Moosewala’s family held his cremation at their own land in Musa village. Earlier, the district administration had made arrangements at the village cremation ground.

Prominent persons who attended the cremation included Congress Punjab Incharge Harish Chowdhary, PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Simranjit Singh Mann of SAD (Amritsar) and many other from the Pujabi music industry.

Over two dozen bullets, including one in the skull, were pumped into Sidhu Moosewala, it was revealed after a panel of five doctors concluded a post-mortem investigation on Monday.
