One new case of coronavirus has been recorded in Queensland.
The man, in his 60s, attended a restaurant at Ellen Grove at the same time as an infected flight attendant who had arrived from Portugal.
“He went into home quarantine the next day when he was contacted, so we are just confirming with him whether or not he went out and about on that Sunday morning,” Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said.
“All of the 36 people who attended the restaurant during the timeframe when the lady from Portugal attended are in home quarantine.”
Queensland to open border to Victoria
Victorians will be able to travel to Queensland from 1am Friday.
“Dr (Jeannette) Young is comfortable with the way Victoria is at, and we will keep a close eye on NSW,” Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
“If you are from Queensland, it is probably best not to travel to NSW at this time.”
Queensland recorded over 13,000 vaccinations in the past 24 hours.
