Prime minister’s silence encouraging rogue elements: Sukhjinder Randhawa

The deplorable barbarism so unashamedly displayed by BJP goons on the borders of national capital in order to derail the peaceful agitation, is a black spot in the annals of Indian democracy and the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue amounts to condoning the acts of such rogue elements. This was disclosed by the Senior Congress leader and Cabinet Minsiter S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa here today in a press communiqué also urging the PM to rein in such bunch of cronies.

Pointing out further, S. Randhawa said that the hooliganism by the BJP supporters in the presence of police has resulted in the democratic norms being butchered. “At first, the Union Government branded the agitating farmers as ‘Urban Naxals’, ‘Terrorists’ and ‘Khalistani’ in order to stifle the voices emanating from all over the country against the draconian farm laws and when these tactics didn’t worked then the BJP has stooped to an all time low level of intimidating the farmers through its hoodlums”, quipped the Congress leader.

Patting the farmers on their back, the Minister congratulated them for exhibiting restraint till now thereby winning the hearts of common masses and on the other hand foiling the nefarious designs of the Union Government by displaying mature approach at the Ghazipur and Singhu borders since last night.

“The Central Government is indulging in sheer demonstration of muscle power using the local people as pawns”, said S. Randhawa adding that the farmers are waging a peaceful struggle which is the biggest USP of their war against black farm laws but the Union Government not being able to digest this, is resultantly adopting reprehensible measures with a view to torpedo the just movement time and again. The Minister also said that the ruling NDA dispensation would have to pay a very heavy price for its Machiavellian ways for which the entire country would never forgive the BJP.
