After several at Sakshi Awards, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo again won as many as eight at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA).
The award ceremony SIIMA concluded last evening in Hyderabad. The function was attended by many superstars from the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam film industries. It was a star-studded affair actor Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Prithviraj, Pooja Hedge, Jai Ram, Rana Daggubati, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Kushboo Sundar, and others made it a night to remember with their presences.
Meanwhile, it was a celebratory night for actors Suriya and Allu Arjun who won big at SIIMA Awards for their films Soorari Pottru and Ala Vaikunthapuramloo. While Suriya won Best Actor (Tamil) for Soorari Pottru, his entire team won in various categories. From Sudha Kongara Best Director to GV Prakash to Best Music Director. On the other hand, the team of Ala Vaikunthapuramloo swept away major awards in the Telugu category. Allu Arjun took away the best actor’s award for his incredible performance in the film, Pooja hedge Best Actress and Best Director by Trivikram Srinivas. Legendary actor-filmmaker K Viswanath was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award by Chiranjeevi and Radhika.
