Modi advises former Himachal CMs not to attend Atal tunnel inaugural function

 A spokesman of the Himachal Pradesh government said on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicating the Atal Tunnel Rohtang on 3rd October to the nation and in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, proper social distancing norms were being followed during the whole event.

He said that Prime Minister has personally advised the former Chief Ministers Shanta Kumar and Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal to avoid their personal presence in this function in the wake of pandemic. He said that on the advice of Prime Minister both the former Chief Ministers had decided to abstain from the event and witness the event virtually.

The spokesman said that the State Government had invited all the Ministers, former Chief Ministers and MLAs to this event besides limited number of local residents of Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu districts.
