Whether you’re a McLaren fan, a fan of Daniel Ricciardo or a simple brickhead, this new Lego set is sure to impress.
McLaren and Lego have teamed up ahead of the 2022 Australian Grand Prix to release the first-ever Formula 1 Lego model.
In a video released alongside the reveal, Ricciardo and teammate Lando Norris pulled back the sheet to reveal the new set.
It also gives F1 fans a taste of what the 2022 season looks like for McLaren, the team’s executive director James Key said.
“The final product looks fantastic, and we cannot wait to make this available to our fans,” he said.
“(It’s a) fun and engaging product that celebrates our 2021 season livery while giving fans a hands-on interpretation of the new 2022 F1 car design.”
It’s a 1432-piece set, made up primarily of Technic pieces and measures around 65cm long.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with any Lego race car drivers.
Lego says the car was designed closely with both Lego’s and McLaren’s engineering teams.
The McLaren model features a detailed V6 cylinder engine with moving pistons, cockpit activated steering, suspension and a differential lock.
It’ll set creators back around $279.99 and will be available online and in Lego retailers come March 1.
