IPL mega auction: Livingstone costliest, read list of players sold and unsold

England’s Liam Livingstone has so far proved to be the costliest player at the IPL mega auction on day 2 of bidding when he was bought for Rs 11.5 cr by Punjab Kings. Odean Smith, the big-hitting all-rounder from West Indies, was also sold to Punjab Kings for Rs 6 crore. All-rounder Shivam Dube was bought by CSK for Rs 4 crore. South African Marco Jansen was sold for Rs 4.2 crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Jansen’s countryman Aiden Markram became the first player to go under the hammer on day 2 and he was bought for Rs 2.60 Crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Big international stars like Marnus Labuschagne, Aaron Finch and Eoin Morgan have gone unsold so far. Ajinkya Rahane was bought by KKR for his base price of Rs 1 crore. Proven IPL talents like Jayant Yadav and Vijay Shankar were bought for cheap by Gujarat Titans. On day 1, Avesh Khan became the most expensive uncapped player in the history of IPL auction as he was sold for Rs 10 crore to Lucknow Super Giants. Ishan Kishan remained the biggest buy of day 1 as Mumbai Indians paid a whopping Rs 15.25 crore to keep him. An intense bidding war was witnessed for Deepak Chahar, with 4 teams locked in a big fight. He was eventually kept at CSK for Rs 14 crore. Shahrukh Khan was sold for Rs 9 crore to Punjab Kings from a base price of Rs 40 lakh.
