Bathinda MP and ex-Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal tested COVID-19 positive on Friday. The cook and two more workers at her Badal village residence also tested positive for the deadly disease, said sources. Notably, Harsimrat held a few meetings with SAD workers in Bathinda on Thursday.
“Dear all, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. I have quarantined myself at home and am taking all the necessary precautions. I would request all those who came in contact with me to isolate and get themselves tested at the earliest,’ the former Union Minister shared on Twitter.
Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala and Digvijaya Singh tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.
In a tweet, Surjewala said: “I have tested +ve for #COVID19 today morning. Anyone who has come in contact with me in the last 5 days, please self isolate & take necessary precautions.”
Singh also tweeted about being quarantined a his Delhi residence.
“My COVID-19 test report is positive. I have presently quarantined myself at my Delhi residence. Those who came in my contact should isolate themselves and keep a watch on their health by taking all precautions,” the Rajya Sabha member said in a tweet.
The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister had given his sample for COVID-19 test to the staff of Delhi-based Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Thursday after developing symptoms.
