From 5am tomorrow people in Sydney’s 12 LGAs of concern will have the one-hour limit on exercise lifted. They will be able to exercise for an unlimited amount of time, within the curfew hours of 5am-9pm, which remain in place.
This means the exercise rule is consistent across the entire state, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.
Overseas travel may be allowed
Ms Berejiklian has hinted state residents could be allowed to travel overseas when the state hits 80 per cent double dose vaccinations.
NSW is set to reach that target ahead of any other state, as early as November, but the national plan did say every state would need to hit that before borders would open.
“I stress that at 80 per cent double-dose vaccination, we anticipate allowing our citizens to access international travel and also to welcoming home Australians through Sydney Airport and that is something we want to do on behalf of the nation because during a pandemic we can’t pretend that we’re separate nations within one nation,” she said.
