878376 MT Wheat Procured on eighth day

The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 878376 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on  eighth day of precourment.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said  that out of the total 878376 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured  878117 MT of wheat 259 MT has been procured by the private traders(arhtias).

 He further  said that PUNGRAIN has procured 231510 metric tonnes, MARKFED 191283 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured  205131 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 124762 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 69260 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 56171 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.

Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 3439862 MT.
