The Government agencies have procured 512063 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on fifth day of precourment.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 512063 MT of wheat .
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 134761 metric tonnes, MARKFED 117545 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 131914 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 70873 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 19913 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 37057 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 1056397 MT.
