48 Kos

Preserving Heritage & Promoting Tourism in Haryana

The 48 Kos region in and around Kurukshetra, Haryana, is a treasure trove of sacred sites steeped in history, mythology, and spiritual significance. Known as the land where the Bhagavad Gita was spoken by Lord Krishna to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, this region holds an unparalleled place in Sanatan Dharma, Hinduism, and India’s philosophical traditions. Many of its sacred locations date back to the times of the Mahabharata, making it essential to create awareness of this culturally rich and historically significant area.

48 Kos Yatra – Voice Aajkal’s 20-episode video series fills this void by offering an immersive journey through the 48 Kos area. Supported by the Kurukshetra Development Board, this initiative allows viewers to explore each sacred site in detail, providing in-depth commentary that covers the history, mythology, and cultural relevance of each location. By creating this video series, audiences gain the flexibility to choose the sites they wish to learn about and virtually experience them from anywhere.

The importance of such a series lies in its ability to educate and inspire. A detailed visual representation creates a deeper connection to the region’s spiritual heritage, ensuring the preservation of its stories for future generations.

It also serves as an invaluable resource for those unable to visit the sites physically, offering them a chance to experience the sacredness of Kurukshetra.

48 Kos Yatra  has the potential to inspire audiences, attract visitors, and preserve the
cultural and spiritual legacy of Kurukshetra.  Voice Aajkal is proud to be part of an initiative of this stature and importance.

Special thanks to the Kurukshetra Development Board for their support for this project. Voice Aajkal is grateful for their help and valuable inputs.
